We know this list is not all inclusive, but we think it will help answer some of questions you may have about our services and policies. We are fully insured for your peace of mind. We carry both liability insurance and workers comp. insurance. All of our cleaning professionals have had background checks and are bonded.

 

No matter who you hire to provide cleaning services to your home, the one thing you should always demand is a current copy of the company's liability and workers comp. insurance certificate.  You should also request that the certificates be faxed or emailed to your directly from the insurance agent and not the company itself. That is the only way to be sure that you are being given the company's true insurance status. Hiring a cleaning service without a current liability and workers compensation insurance policy in place puts you at risk. Any company doing business in Rhode Island, Massachusetts or Connecticut must, by law, have a workers compensation insurance policy in place. Doing business with a company who fails to carry this required insurance is a risk you don't want to take! New England Pro-Maids is proud to say that we are fully insured and we will be happy to have our insurance agent fax or email you a copy of our current insurance certificates upon request. 

We are not a franchise and therefore have no franchise fees or royalties that must be paid every month like the local franchises do. This allows us to set much more reasonable prices than the local franchises. We have no corporate office dictating to us how to run our business or telling us where and how to advertise or what supplies we must buy.  This allows us much more freedom in forming our rate structure. When you choose a locally owned business over a franchise, more of your hard-earned dollars stay within the local community which helps the local economy.

We pride ourselves with being the most thorough, yet affordable, home cleaning service in the tri-state area.  We understand that there are a large number of cleaning services in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut to choose from.  Our prices are set to keep us competitive while still allowing us to offer our staff a higher rate of pay than they would have made working at one of our competitors. Our rates are upwards of 40% lower than rates being charged by franchised maid services such as Merry Maids or The Maids.

 

If you find a cleaning service with rates much lower than ours, you need to ask yourself why are the rates so low? Do they pay their staff only minimum wage? Are they fully insured? Are they using independent contractors, or worse, paying their staff under-the-table wages? Are they a real business or are they running their "company" out of the trunk of their car? Always do your research on a cleaning service before allowing them into your home! 

Please give us 48 hours if you need to cancel your cleaning for any reason.  A cancellation fee of $50 will be charged if you cancel your appointment without giving us a 48-hour notice.  A lock-out fee of $75 will be charged if we cannot gain access to your home on the day of your scheduled appointment. 

We offer a 100% Happiness Guarantee on our services. If you are not happy with your service, please call us at 401-732-MAID within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will send the team out the next day to re-do any areas of concern.

 

In order for our 100% Happiness Guarantee to remain in effect, it is essential that you call us within 24 hours of your cleaning if you are not satisfied. You must also allow us access to the home within 48 hours from the time of the original cleaning so that we can re-clean any areas of concern. If you do not contact us in the allotted time, or do not allow us access to the home to re-clean any areas of concern, then our 100% Happiness Guarantee will be voided. We do not offer refunds, full or partial, under any circumstances.

 

Please understand that we have these policies in place to protect both our clients and our company. We place your satisfaction in our services as a top priority.

Every single person who works for us is considered an employee. We are in full compliance with RI labor laws. We pay payroll taxes on our employees and carry workers comp. insurance as required by RI state law. Never hire a cleaning company who uses independent contractors. They will have no control over the people they send to your home and they are often not properly insured. When looking to hire a house cleaning service you should always ask if their cleaning staff are bona-fide employees or independent contractors. 

Our staff is the most important asset our company has.  Without our staff we could not exist and we strive to treat each and every staff member with the respect and dignity they often have not received working for our competitors.  Whereas the majority of cleaning companies in the area choose to pay their staff minimum wage, or barely above, we offer our staff wages that are significantly higher.  The majority of our staff have years of experience in the cleaning industry and came to us after having bad experiences working for another cleaning service.  These experiences include not being paid for hours worked, not being paid properly for over-time, being forced to accept under-the-table wages and sometimes at rates less than minimum wage and/or being mis-classified as independent contractors.  We help to educate our staff about their rights so that this does not happen to them again in the future and, in a few cases, directed them to file grievances with the proper state labor board, state tax unit or the IRS, against former employers.  The house cleaning professionals who work here at New England Pro-Maids love their jobs and it shows in the high-quality cleaning services they provide to our customers each and every day.
